Organic Coconut Sugar is a natural, unrefined sweetener that extracted from coconut palm sap, which is the sugary circulating fluid of the coconut plant and contains small amounts of minerals, antioxidants and fiber. This carries a subtle hint of caramel undertone. The color and texture is very similar to brown sugar. Coconut syrup has a low glycaemic index (35 – 40). Therefore it is beneficial for diabetics and non-diabetics as well.
Coconut sugar can be used in cakes, cookies, sprinkled on top of granola, mixed into a parfait, and any other method where regular sugar finds its way into foods.
