Red Radishes, Heirloom ‘Sicilian Red’, Organic

It is believed that long white and black Radishes were first cultivated in China, Ancient Egypt and Greece. However, the more popular small, round and pink varieties that we prefer today only date back to the 18th century. There are many different varieties and we will change the ones we grow according to season so we can grow them all year round. The pungency varies, depending on variety and also on the soil in which they are grown. During the hotter months they tend to be spicier and the temperatures drop we are milder and sweeter.
