We’ve worked for years on cultivating a standard Beef Tomato that is in fact an heirloom. This Tomato has a great old-fashioned Tomato taste and a beautiful ‘meaty’ texture but it isn’t as sensitive as most heirlooms so storage and transportation are easier.
This Tomato is a great all-rounder and can be used for cooking and fresh consumption. It is a more modern heirloom dating to the late 1940. We are now in the 3rd generation of cultivating our own seeds so we are hopeful that very soon this will be our standard Beef Tomato.
